HARRISBURG — Matthew Goettler no longer has a teaching license, the state Department of Education reported.

Goettler, 26, pleaded guilty to statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, and corruption of minors in September. He surrendered his license in lieu of discipline effective Jan. 11, according to information released by the department recently.

He was sentenced to 21 to 42 months in state prison. He is currently serving that sentence at the correctional institute in Camp Hill. He last was a substitute teacher and an assistant basketball coach in the Moniteau School District.
