Five goals and an assist by Amy Halls were not enough to help the Slippery Rock University women's lacrosse team beat host Mercyhurst in a 21-12 loss Thursday.
Emma Van Denburg had two goals and three assists for SRU, while Dakota McCoy and Ariel Knox each had a pair of goals and one assist.
The Rock (6-8, 2-6) hosts Seton Hill Saturday.
