In loving memory of Jimmy Smolen April 15, 2005

He isn't much in the eyes of the world, he'll never make history,

No, he isn't much in the eyes of the world, but he is the world to me.

Time cannot stop the heartache, or even stop the tears,

Or take away the memories, of the one I loved for years,

I often sit and think of you, when I am all alone,

For memory is the only thing, that grief can call its own.

God called him home, it was His will,

But in our hearts we love him still,

His memory is as dear today, as the hour that he passed away.

His smiling way and pleasant face, are a pleasure to recall,

He had a kindly word for each, and died beloved by all.

Some day we hope to meet him, some day, we know not when,

To clasp his hand in a better land, never to part again.
