PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh-area teen convicted of attacking his ex-girlfriend with a hammer must remain in juvenile detention for at least three more months.

Allegheny County Judge Kim Clark on Monday ordered 18-year-old Robertino DeAngelis to remain in juvenile lockup until at least July, when another hearing is scheduled on his detention.

DeAngelis was found delinquent of attempted homicide and other charges in August in the Halloween 2007 attack on Sarah DeIuliis. After attacking DeIuliis, DeAngelis jumped in front of a light-rail trail, suffering severe brain injuries.

CENTERVILLE — A tractor-trailer driver said he's happy to be alive after his truck was cut in half by a train in southwestern Pennsylvania.Truck driver James Taylor said he was lost on his way to West Virginia when his truck was hit by the train Monday morning in Centerville, about 25 miles south of Pittsburgh.The train tore straight through the trailer, spilling its load of flowers and plants before coming to a stop. No injuries were reported.Investigators said the train's conductor blew his horn, but Taylor said he didn't see or hear the train coming.
