PITTSBURGH — Police said a baby-sitter accused of taking a child to North Carolina without permission turned herself in.

Attorney Michael Worgul said authorities arraigned Belinda Boswell, 23, Sunday evening on a charge of interfering with the custody of a child. He said he accompanied his client when she turned herself in to Pittsburgh Municipal Court at noon Sunday. Police had said they were moving to arrest Boswell after she earlier failed to appear twice after promising to surrender.
