Cass
Hi Cass, Again,I know what your saying, however it is not for you to decide nor the rest of us. Individual choices are what makes us the nation we are today. Not everyone is Catholic or religious.I personally don't buy into the seven deadly sins or anything else the Catholic church teaches. Stand, kneel, sit, pray, and give money.Thats seems to be what they teach? They also sensored books out of the Bible in the early days and condensed it into what we know today. They want us to read and learn what they feel is important to their beliefs and ideals. I would rather get the entire picture and make up my own mind. Who is learing anything with the ritualist religion they profess. Also, name me any other business (and church is a business) that could withstand the scandals that the church has all in the name of religion, which is where I think your getting your opinion and values from. Example: If an employee of K-mart for instance sexually assaulted a young boy(s) in the store and was caught red handed so to speak what do you think would happen to k-mart if they backed up the employee? I can tell you, it would be closed down for good, but when the church officials do the same thing it gets pushed aside, buried and denied. It's all in the name of God. I don't buy into that sort of business and neither do many others. Bottom line, if people worried more about their own problems and their own business instead of telling or demanding others to do as they say or do the world would have less problems. We should all mind our own business and stop trying to push our own ideas and agendas on the rest of the population. Most so called christians I know are quick to tell you what your doing wrong and why you should do what they do and then they turn around and do the same thing they thought you shouldn't be doing. Hypocrites! If folks learned to mind their own business like I said I am sure they would find more than enough to keep them busy. If you don't like how someone dresses or wears their hair and it bothers you that much, look away. Maybe others don't care for how you look either. That street runs both ways.It all seems rather petty given the problems we face as a nation today. No one should be permitted to sensor personal choice or preferences.
