I am a first timer here but can't seem to let this go. I live in Slippery Rock which you all know is a college town. Last week my sons bike was stolen off of our back porch. He had just purchased this bike with his own money from Butler Bicycle Shop on sale for $150.00. He had given this a lot of thought because it is not often he can save up that much money but had just had a birthday and added it all together.(and it was a good deal for a bike that wont fall apart like the ones I have bought at walmart) Someone came onto OUR property on OUR porch and stole it. He always keeps it in the garage but had had a friend over that night and we forgot about it. I have been told time and time again that it should have been put away. What about the thief that took it? There were a few parties behind our house that the college students were having and we think someone left a party, saw his bike and took it and rode it home. These are "adults" who should know better. I hope this so called "adult" will do the right thing and return my sons bike. I dont care how, or what time, it can be in the middle of the night again- no questions asked- JUST RETURN IT PLEASE!! I am a single mom and cannot afford to buy him a new bike. It is making me physically ill thinking about this and making me want to move out of town ASAP. I do not even have a car that runs and this bike was also a way for my son to get outside and exercise and get to see his friends. Just think- these students could be running our country some day, scary thought, isnt it? STEALING FROM A KID-SHAME ON YOU! PLEASE RETURN MY SONS BIKE, I AM BEGGING YOU, WHETHER YOU ARE A STUDENT, OR NOT. JUST GIVE IT BACK.
