BUFFALO TWP — Freeport High School will present the musical "The Music Man" at 7:30 p.m. April 15 to 17 at the school, 625 S. Pike Road.

Written by Meredith Wilson, the story follows the path of a swindling salesperson, Harold Hill, as he travels to River City, Iowa, in the summer of 1912. Here, he comes up with a scheme to manipulate the residents into believing that the new pool table in town has caused sin and corruption amongst the children and a boys band is the best way to fix the issue.

The story is being directed and produced by Thomas Koharchik. Robert Harris is instrumental director, Carolyn Lah is vocal coach and Mary Calligan is student director.
