Lifesteps' Child Check team will conduct free screenings for children from birth to age 5 on the following dates.

• 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Butler County Family YMCA, 339 W. Washington St., Butler.

• 1 to 3 p.m. April 13, Early Education Center, VA Butler Healthcare, Building 68, Butler Township.

Visits take about 30 minutes and results are discussed immediately. The screening looks at the child's development in the areas of playing, talking, seeing, hearing, moving and thinking.

BUTLER TWP — A Families Forever seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 17 at Lifesteps, 383 New Castle Road. WINFIELD TWP — A community cabaret dinner show will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. April 10 at St. Luke Church, 330 Hannahstown Road.Local youth will perform music from the 1920s, 30s and 40s.
