Pittsburgh closer Octavio Dotel made his first appearance of the spring Wednesday. In one scoreless inning, he issued a leadoff walk, hit a batter, got one strikeout and threw a wild pitch as the Pirates fell to Boston 6-4 at Bradenton, Fla.
