PITTSBURGH — Police say one man is dead and another seriously injured after they tried to rob an apartment.

Investigators say the two men forced their way into a home late Wednesday night in the city's Elliot neighborhood. Police say someone inside shot both men and then fled

A 20-year-old man died at the scene of a gunshot wound to the head and a 25-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition with wounds to the head and torso.
