BUTLER TWP — The students of the select choral ensembles at Butler Intermediate High School will present a concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Butler Intermediate High School auditorium. Admission is free.

The theme for this concert is "Favorites from the Movies" and will feature 14 student soloists in addition to choral selections.

Soloists include Lyric Ackelson, Michael Alexander, Courtney Benson, Amelia Bishop, Sean Bock, Tiffany Keffalas, Marlee Manuel, Stephanie Miller, Theo Peterson, Robin Schmeider, Rebecca Shakely, Katie Steighner, Andrew Stock and Laurel Wain.

"Unplugged: From Brooklyn to Butler" is a concert planned from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St.The concert, a benefit for the center, will include musical performances by Christopher Paul Stelling, a neo-folk artist of Brooklyn, N.Y; Eric Pitluga from A Voice Like Rhetoric of Slippery Rock, and Jerry Lorenz of Butler.Cover is $5. SLIPPERY ROCK — Jennings Environmental Education Center will host maple sugaring activities at 2 p.m. Sunday.This program is open to the public, and no registration is required.The event will unravel the mystery of how a tree functions and how people benefit from the life processes of these giant plants. JACKSON TWP — The Glenn Miller Orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. April 27 at Seneca Valley Intermediate High School.
