PITTSBURGH — "Baron" Mikel Scicluna, a velvet-caped pro wrestling bad guy from Malta who enraged fans in Pittsburgh and other cities with sneaky tactics and use of "foreign" objects, has died. He was 80.

Scicluna's family said he died Sunday of pancreatic cancer in Ross Township, where he returned from New York to live nearly 20 years ago after retiring from wrestling.

Scicluna was a staple on Pittsburgh's local WWWF telecast, "Studio Wrestling," where he feuded with Bruno Sammartino and others.
