NATALIE BEILSTEIN (Knoch) recorded 9.875 scores on the vault and floor, but the University of Michigan women's gymnastics team fell to No. 1 ranked University of Alabama 197.575-196.875 Friday at the Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Ala.•

KEVAN SMITH and ZACH DUGGAN (Seneca Valley), members of the University of Pittsburgh baseball team, played key roles in the team's 7-1 win over Temple University Sunday. Smith had two RBI and Duggan added a single, stolen base, RBI and run scored for the Panthers.•

BEN GUTMANN (Seneca Valley) placed sixth in the men's 200 breaststroke for Westminster with a school-record time of 2:04.15 to earn All-America status at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving National Championships Saturday in Minneapolis, Minn.
