HARRISBURG — U.S. Senate candidates Joe Sestak and Pat Toomey will hold a second debate without each other's actual opponents in the May 18 primary.

Sestak, a congressman from the Philadelphia suburbs, and former congressman Toomey will meet April 11 at La Salle University.

The pair staged a similar event last fall.

Toomey is opposed for the Republican nomination by Johnstown activist Peg Luksik. Sestak is opposing incumbent Arlen Specter for the Democratic nomination.

He complains Specter will only agree to a debate May 1. That debate will be televised statewide.

The Specter campaign countered the fifth-term senator debated Sestak on live TV last month and has made a couple other joint appearances.

BRADDOCK — Diesel fuel has been leaking into a creek from a derailed train at or near U.S. Steel's Edgar Thompson Works near Pittsburgh.Allegheny County 911 dispatchers said a hazardous materials crew is dealing with 1,200 gallons of fuel leaking into Turtle Creek. A cadaver-sniffing dog also was on standby because the train's conductor could not immediately be found.It was not immediately clear how large the train was, how many cars derailed, or what if anything the train was carrying.U.S. Steel spokeswoman Erin DiPietro said the train is owned by Union Railroad, which is part of Transtar, a U.S. Steel subsidiary whose trains serve the company's plants. But she could not immediately comment on reports two trains collided, causing some coal cars to tip over.

PITTSBURGH — A judge must decide whether the homeowner's insurance policy of a man who fatally shot himself after murdering three women and wounding nine others Aug. 4 at a health club should help repay victims who have sued his estate.State Farm sued to keep the victims from collecting $100,000 in personal liability coverage that was part of George Sodini's homeowner's policy."Insurance policies cover accidents, not intentional acts of conduct," State Farm spokesman Doug Griffith said.
