PITTSBURGH — Police say a woman died of stab wounds in an apparent domestic dispute that left a man and two children hospitalized.

Pittsburgh police Commander Thomas Stangrecki told reporters that officers were called to a West End home by a 7-year-old boy who dialed 911 at 12:50 p.m. Sunday. They found a man and woman with multiple stab wounds, and Stangrecki said the woman later died.

The man was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition. The 7-year-old, who had a minor injury, and his 13-year-old sister, who has a head injury, were listed in stable condition at Children's Hospital.

Authorities have declined to release the names of the victims or any other information.
