COLLEGE NOTES

NATALIE BEILSTEIN (Knoch), a freshman on the University of Michigan women's gymnastics team, won the vault with a career-high 9.900 score in the Wolverines' victory over Minnesota recently. Beilstein ranks 15th nationally in the vault and has won four titles in six meets.•

MERRISSA MALCOLM (Freeport), a sophomore on the Westminster College women's indoor track and field team, won the pole vault with a vault of 3.35 meters at the Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) Mid-February Indoor Meet last weekend.•

ABBEY BASTA (Slippery Rock), a senior on the Westminster indoor track and field squad, placed eighth in the 800 meters and ran a leg of the third-place 800-meter relay team at the Baldwin-Wallace meet.•

BETHANY KOCH (Union), a member of the Clarion University women's basketball team, tallied 11 points, five assists, five rebounds and three steals in her team's 91-70 loss to Gannon over the weekend.•

ALEC MILLER (Grove City), a sophomore on the Thiel College wrestling team, won the 174-pound Presidents' Athletic Conference championship over the weekend with a 4-1 decision over Waynesburg's Cody Catalina.
