Derek and Sarah Hancher of Zelienople

Sarah (Johnston) and Derek Hancher grew up in neighboring towns, but did not meet until they were students at Allegheny College.

Sarah graduated from Butler High School and Derek graduated from Seneca Valley High School, both in 2001.

Sarah graduated from the Duquesne University School of Law in 2008 and works as an attorney at Buchanon, Ingersoll and Rooney in Pittsburgh.

Derek graduated in 2007 from Slippery Rock University and now teaches third grade in the Shenango Area School District in New Castle.

They got engaged July 4, 2008, and were married July 25, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church in Butler.

They live in Zelienople.
