Because of the snow storm expected tonight and Saturday, some school and sports activities in Butler County have been canceled or adjusted:

Here is what has been reported so far:

• All Freeport High athletics scheduled for today and Saturday are canceled.

• All Slippery Rock High athletics scheduled for today and Saturday are canceled. Saturday's Slippery Rock High girls basketball game at Indiana for Saturday is moved to Wednesday.

• The Mars boys basketball game with Valley tonight was canceled.

• The Seneca Valley High hockey game with Pine-Richland at Warrendale BladeRunners was canceled.

• All Butler School District activities scheduled for Friday and Saturday are canceled and the buildings will be closed. Classes today in the district will be dismissed one hour early.

• The Knoch boys basketball team will host Highlands today with a junior varsity start time of 4:30 p.m. with the varsity game to follow.

• All Mars School District activities on Saturday are canceled.

• The Seneca Valley boys basketball game at Pine-Richland has been canceled.

• The Knoch girls varsity basketball team will play at Riverside today at 4 p.m. with the junior varsity game to follow.

• The Summit Academy boys basketball team's games at Mohawk are still on for today. The junior varsity game starts at 4 p.m., with the varsity to follow.

• All of Karns City's after-school activities today and Saturday are canceled.

Also the state Department of Health has canceled its H1N1 vaccine clinic scheduled for Saturday at the health center in the Monarch Building on 100 Brugh Ave.

It will not be rescheduled.
