Bursted water pipe damages Penn Theater, salon
A bursted water pipe on the second floor of the Penn Theater damaged that building and an adjoining hair salon on Main Street in Butler. City firefighters were called to the building about 1:30 p.m. today.
Damage to the Bergbigler's Beauty Salon, 151 N. Main St., appeared to be extensive.
The city's Redevelopment Authority owns the building. A representative of that agency at the scene declined to comment.
