PITTSBURGH — Two sisters who helped bring 54 orphans from earthquake-ravaged Haiti to Pittsburgh returned to that country in an effort to rescue 11 more orphans.

Jamie and Ali McMutrie, of Ben Avon, had run the BRESMA orphanage in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince.

The 11 orphans still in Haiti were supposed to be adopted by French families, but that hasn't happened.

The sisters were accompanied by a lobbyist for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, whose staff helped rescue the other orphans.

PHILADELPHIA — Restaurants in Philadelphia must now show customers the caloric content of their dishes.The health department is beginning enforcement of the city's new menu labeling law. The law took effect at the start of the year but officials gave restaurants a month to prepare. A first violation will result in a citation but a second offense means a $150 fine.The law says establishments that have menu boards and 15 or more locations need to post calories of food items sold.Restaurants must list information on carbohydrates, sodium, saturated fat and trans fat starting in April.
