PITTSBURGH — The Pirates plan to install a statue of Bill Mazeroski outside PNC Park to commemorate the Hall of Fame second baseman's World Series-winning home run 50 years ago.

Statues of Honus Wagner, Roberto Clemente and Willie Stargell already are in place outside the stadium, which opened in 2001.

The Pirates have not said when they will unveil the statue, but they plan to commemorate the World Series win during a weekend series against the Cleveland Indians June 18-20.
