Matt Tack and Les Perry have new jobs in Quality Life Services of Butler companies.
Tack, a third generation of the company's founding family, is now administrator of the Chicora Medical Center while Perry was named assistant administrator at Sugar Creek Rest in Worthington. Both have served the company in management roles before these appointments.
Tack has been a licensed administrator since 1993 and worked for Sugar Creek Rest, Emlenton's Laurel Manor, and Countryside of Mercer. He is a member of the Armstrong County Chamber of Commerce's board of directors and is an Environmental Learning Center volunteer.
He is a graduate of East Brady High School, Mercyhurst College and Slippery Rock University.Perry, the former director of Quality Life Services' rehabilitation and therapy services, is a recent graduate of the nursing home administrator certification process. He will work with company co-founder Phil Tack, who is Sugar Creek administrator.Perry earned bachelor's degree from Penn State University and a master's degree from Geneva College. He also graduated from Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in New Castle.
GIBSONIA — St. Barnabas announced the board of trustees for two health care system boards.The Woodlands of St. Barnabas' board is: Winfield Smathers of Gibsonia, chairman/treasurer; Douglas Day of Richland Township, president; and Robert Crnjarich of Glenshaw.St. Barnabas Medical Center's board is: William Knox of Adams Township, chairman; Karen Tabacchi of Penn Township, president; Matt Schellhaas of Reserve Township, treasurer; Douglas Day; and Kim Geyer of Mars.
Dr. Judy Ann Stone joined the medical staff of Butler Memorial Hospital as an infectious disease specialist.She earned her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and completed her medical degree at the University of Maryland's School of Medicine. She was a fellow in infectious diseases at the West Virginia Medical Center in Morgantown.Since 1983, Stone has been in private practice of infectious diseases in Cumberland, Md., while serving as a clinical assistant profession at the WVU School of Medicine and director of hospital epidemiology at Memorial Hospital in Cumberland.
Marmon Keystone reached a new safety record, completing the entire year of 2009 accident free.This record applies to all 21 U.S. offices for the wholesale distributor of tubular products and represents 700,000 work hours without a recordable accident.Marmon Keystone is headquartered in Butler, and the more than 100-year-old company is affiliated with The Marmon Group, an international association of more than 130 businesses.
Nichole Anthony was named the quality and business analyst on 5 Main at Butler Memorial Hospital.Anthony joined the hospital in 2002, eventually becoming a member of the Office of Organizational Excellence.She earned a bachelor's degree in health science from Slippery Rock University and a master's degree in business administration from Point Park University in Pittsburgh.
