This is my last post on this subject because we seem to be going round and round.

A few years ago, the Butler School district was caught shorting the school day by 10 minutes a day. They had to immediately extend the day in order to make up the time required by the state in order to get their funding. This was kept hush hush. Why?

My son was accepted into CMU. A very diverse school. The international students were so much ahead of him in their studies, he was worried that he wouldn't make it. I don't really need to explain his credentials. He was accepted into one of the top colleges in the world for a reason, yet he was very far behind. He was able to catch up, based on his character, not his schooling.

Please explain to me why this country's students are behind countries like India - where the median income is something like 1/3 of ours. Something is very wrong in our educational system, and when teachers like (I think her name was Laura) come on and gloat about sitting around in the sun all summer long, it doesn't do your cause any good.
