Forward Twp. man dies from injuries sustained in Christmas Day crash
A 20-year-old Butler County man died Monday at Allegheny General Hospital, more than a week after he was injured in a Christmas Day vehicle crash in Forward Township
Mark W. Brodie of Forward Township and his 15-year-old sister both were taken to the Pittsburgh hospital after the car they were riding in hit a tree near the intersection of Brownsdale and Meridian roads about 11:45 a.m. State police in Butler said the vehicle Brodie was driving on Brownsdale Road slid on an icy stretch for 40 feet before the passenger side of the Chevrolet Malibu hit a tree.
His sister also was seriously injured in the crash, but an updated condition for her was not available.
Brodie was a 2007 graduate of Seneca Valley High School.
Funeral services will be Thursday at the Boylan Funeral Home in Zelienople.
His obituary will be published in today's Eagle.
