PITTSBURGH — The trial for a woman accused of killing a pregnant woman and cutting her infant from the womb is set to begin in Pittsburgh.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin today in the homicide trial of 40-year-old Andrea Curry-Demus. Prosecutors say she killed 18-year-old Kia Johnson in July 2008 to steal the baby.

Johnson's baby, Terrell Kian Johnson, survived the attack. He is staying with family.

Curry-Demus is charged with homicide, kidnapping and other offenses.
