PENN TWP — Butler County Children and Youth Services will follow up today on the case of a 2-year-old child who was found wandering alone outside New Year's Day.

The child was checked by emergency medical workers but didn't need further medical treatment.

A Pier Drive neighbor found the girl about 8 a.m. and took the child, who was wearing pajamas, into her house before calling state police in Butler.

State police investigated and found the child's father, Christopher Michael Donley Sr., no age given, sleeping at home. The toddler's mother was at work.

Child endangerment charges were filed, but no other information was available.
