Jabril Bailey tallied 23 points and c10 rebounds as the Slippery Rock University men's basketball team survived an 87-84 decision over host Shepherd (W.Va.) Monday night.

SRU hit five of six free throws in the final 30 seconds to ice the game.

The Rock (8-0), which trailed 41-36 at halftime, also received double digits in points from its other four starters: Cecil Brown (10), Maron Brown (22), Mike Evans, Jr. (15) and Maurice Douglas (12).

SRU will host Ohio University-Eastern at 3 p.m. Dec. 30.
