GIBSONIA — The Miss Butler County USA pageant is set for 7 p.m. Sunday at the Kean Theatre on the campus of St. Barnabas Health System.

Fourteen contestants will be featured in the preliminary to the Miss Pennsylvania USA Pageant, which leads to the nationally televised Miss USA Pageant.

Each contestant will appear onstage in an evening gown and one-piece swimsuit following one-on-one interviews with the judges before the pageant. Judging is based on poise, personality, stage presence and overall appearance.

Master of ceremonies will be J. Eddie Peck of Los Angeles, who has appeared in numerous daytime serials, prime time series and movies.

Tickets will be sold at the door.

GIBSONIA — The Greater Cranberry Barbershop Chorus will perform its Christmas show at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Richland Elementary School on Bakerstown Road. Special guests will be the Pittsburgh Metro's Steel City Harmonizers and the Sharp Edge quartet.The price of admission is a canned good donation, which will be given to The Lighthouse. The Butler County Civil War Roundtable will feature Ronald Coddington at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Heritage Room of the Butler YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St.Coddington, art editor at USA Today, will present the program "Faces of War."Published in the Civil War News, his column of the same name profiles a soldier, illustrated with an original, wartime photograph from his collection.The program is free and open to the public.
