PITTSBURGH — Hundreds of police officers from around Western Pennsylvania and beyond are at a Pittsburgh church this morning to honor a fellow officer killed in the line of duty.

The officers are gathered for the funeral for Penn Hills Officer Michael Crawshaw. Authorities said the officer was gunned down Sunday night by Ronald Robinson, 32. Police said Robinson had just killed another man over a drug debt when he shot Crawshaw as the officer sat in his patrol car.

Police cruisers parked two abreast for roughly a half-mile outside St. Boniface Church where the funeral was held at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow at Christ Our Redeemer North Side Catholic Cemetery.
