WASHINGTON — The general manager of a weekly newspaper in suburban Pittsburgh died of complications from swine flu.

Liza Northrop Beale, 49, was the general manager of The Almanac and the editor of a pair of magazines published by the Observer Publishing Company of Washington.

Company officials said Beale died Saturday. She is the fourth person to die of complications related to the H1N1 virus in Washington County.

Beale had been serving as the vice president of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association Foundation.
