LOS ANGELES — Markief Morris scored a career-high 19 points and No. 1 Kansas pulled away in the second half to beat UCLA 73-61 on Sunday, sending the Bruins to their fourth consecutive loss.

Xavier Henry added 16 points and Sherron Collins had 14 for the Jayhawks (7-0), who led the entire game but allowed UCLA to get within four early in the second half.

Michael Roll scored 16 points and Nikola Dragovic added 14 for the Bruins (2-5), who haven't lost four in a row since 2003-04, coach Ben Howland's first season in Westwood.

The last time the schools met was in the 2007 NCAA tournament's West Region, when UCLA won by 13 points and went on to the second of three consecutive Final Four appearances.

Collins' jumper gave Kansas its largest lead of the first half, 29-16. The Bruins ended the half on a 12-6 run to close to 35-28. UCLA outscored Kansas 6-3 to start the second half and get to 38-34.

No. 3 Villanova 95, Maryland 86WASHINGTON — Scottie Reynolds scored 25 points and Corey Fisher added 20 to lead No. 3 Villanova over Maryland in the BB&T Classic.The Wildcats (8-0) set a school record by attempting 39 3-pointers, making 16 — one short of the school mark. Corey Stokes led the way, going 5 for 11 from beyond the arc as part of an 18-point performance.The Wildcats also ruled the boards, finishing with a 45-33 rebounding advantage.

No. 14 Connecticut 79, Harvard 73STORRS, Conn. — Jerome Dyson scored 24 points and came within an assist of a triple-double for Connecticut.The 6-foot-4 Dyson, who has scored over 20 points in five of UConn's seven games, grabbed 14 rebounds.Kemba Walker had 20 points and Stanley Robinson added 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Huskies (6-1).

Idaho 68, No. 25 Portland 48MOSCOW, Idaho — Kashif Watson scored 15 points and Idaho handed No. 25 Portland its second straight loss since entering the national rankings for the first time in 50 years.Luke Sikma scored 11 points to lead Portland (5-3), which also lost 86-82 against Portland State on Wednesday. The Pilots, who hadn't been ranked since February 1959, are sure to tumble out of the Top 25.
