Freshman Alex Beatty scored 23 points as the Slippery Rock University women's basketball team notched its first victory at Morrow Field House this season with a 76-56 win over Penn State-Beaver Thursday night.

Nikki Presto added 12 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for The Rock (2-4).

Heather Sandusky scored 21 points and Jasmine Green had 20 more for the Lions.

SRU's bench outscored PSU-Beaver 32-1.

The Rock shot 43.1 percent from the floor and 48 percent from 3-point range. Monday in a loss to Urbana, SRU was 1-of-16 from behind the arc.
