KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Redshirt freshman Travon Woodall had 19 points and Ashton Gibbs added 18, leading Pittsburgh to a gritty 68-55 win over Wichita State in the semifinals of the CBE Classic on Monday night.

Pitt (4-0) labored through its first away game, shooting 55 percent in the second half to pull away down the stretch. Woodall had six rebounds, five assists and four steals to offset six turnovers, sending the Panthers to Tuesday's championship game against No. 3 Texas.

Wichita State (2-1) stayed close into the second half behind a loud pro-Shockers crowd and the shooting of Toure Murry who had 20 points.

PITTSBURGH — Former Big East rivals Miami and Virginia Tech return to Pitt's football schedule as nonconference opponents during the next three seasons.Miami plays at Pitt next season, along with nonconference opponents New Hampshire and Florida International. Virginia Tech visits Heinz Field in 2012, then faces Pitt at home the following season.2010, road-Utah, Notre Dame. 2011, home-Buffalo, Maine, Notre Dame, Utah; road-Iowa. 2012, home-Central Florida; road- Buffalo, Notre Dame. 2013, home-Villanova, North Carolina State, Notre Dame; road-Navy.Pitt plays eight of its 12 games at home in 2011.
