GIBSONIA — St. Barnabas Charities will provide free Thanksgiving dinners from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 26 at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, 5827 Meridian Road, Gibsonia, and at Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas, 85 Charity Place, Valencia.

Reservations are appreciated but not necessary, according to St. Barnabas. Call St. Barnabas in Gibsonia at 724-443-0700 or Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas at 724-625-4000.

Free Christmas dinners will also be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 25 at both facilities.

WASHINGTON TWP — A Christmas auction will be held at 5 p.m. Nov. 27 at the North Washington Social Hall, Fairview Road. The sale will include toys, decorations, household items and tools.Proceeds benefit the North Washington Volunteer Fire Department.

FRANKLIN TWP — The Mount Chestnut Snowflake Craft and Gift Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Mount Chestnut Nazarene Center, 177, North Road.For information, call 724-285-5391 after 4 p.m. or 724-287-5867.

HARMONY — Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Highway, will host the Ellwood City Area Civic Chorale at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 for an evening of holiday music. Admission is free. For information, call the church office at 724-452-8886.

ZELIENOPLE — Passavant Retirement Community, 401 S. Main St., will host its sixth annual Light Up Night from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 6. The event includes musical entertainment, seasonal refreshments, children's activities, visits with Santa Claus and Zambelli fireworks.

MARS — The Mars Library, 107 Grand Ave., will host a book club once a month from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays.The library has an evening book club that meets the second Wednesday of each month.For information on either club, call the library at 724-625-9048.

The Mental Health Association, 140 N. Elm St., seeks support during the holiday season for Butler County residents at Torrance State Hospital.Contact the MHA at 724-287-4083 to request a patient name or make a financial donation through Operation Reindeer. Unwrapped gifts, such as toiletries, cosmetics, games and clothing, can also be brought to the office by Dec. 7.

CHERRY TWP — Moniteau High School's Class of 1975 is planning its 35th reunion for fall 2010. The planning committee seeks help locating classmates.
