Pete Stivason
Memorial tribute to Pete Stivason who passed away November 12, 2007
My precious Pete:
People tell me that it gets better. Two years later, it's not better, my heart is broken, half of my mind, body and spirit are still missing. I have come to believe that half of me died with you. I go on for the kids and the grandkids because you would be angry with me if I didn't. The empty feeling is still there but the beautiful memories live on. I know that you are looking out for me still.
Thanks, for the notes, and the feelings, and just the knowledge that you filled our home with so many wonderful memories of who you were and who we were together. These are the things that make my life full even though you aren't here to share it. You taught me to be happy for the little pleasures in life and to stop and smell the roses and of course to stop and smell the coffee!
I hope that where you are is the most beautiful forest in the world with every animal imaginable. I'm sure you are the best guide that God has in his wonderful kingdom.
I will love and miss you until the day that I join you and our life together continues where it left off.
