Arts group seeks artists for 2 upcoming exhibits
The Associated Artists of Butler County has two art exhibits coming up that are accepting artists: the annual holiday show and sale, a nonjuried show for members to sell their work during the holiday season, and a new exhibit — the "Cold Winter, Hot Jazz" exhibit in January.
Drop-off dates for the holiday show are Friday and Saturday.
The "Cold Winter, Hot Jazz" exhibit will be a juried exhibit with more than $1,000 in cash awards. The theme is open and will include anything to do with music and art.
Pittsburgh artist Bill Vrscak will judge the "Cold Winter, Hot Jazz" exhibit.
He is a free-lance artist/illustrator with more than 30 years experience in the graphic arts industry. He studied painting and design at the Ivy School of Art in Pittsburgh, is a member of the American Watercolor Society and Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators and is widely published.
