Smoke forces evacuation of patients
CRANBERRY TWP — Smoke in the east wing of UPMC Cranberry Place off St. Francis Way this morning forced some patients to be evacuated to other areas of the facility as fire crews worked to find the source of the smoke.
A smell of smoke reported about 9 a.m. in the hallway in Building 5 of the Skilled Nursing Center brought the response of Cranberry, Adams Area, Marshall Township, Zelienople and Big Knob fire companies.
No injuries were reported.
Emergency crews were called off about 10:15 a.m.
