PITTSBURGH — A judge in Allegheny County has ordered the county to reassess its properties once every four years.

Common Pleas Judge R. Stanton Wettick's plan announced Tuesday in Pittsburgh requires the county to split into four regions. The first region must be reassessed by Oct. 1, 2010, and the other three regions by Oct. 1 of the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 in a continuing four-year cycle.

Wettick's plan stems from a state Supreme Court decision in April.
