Creekside Mushrooms plans to lay off 260 workers
WORTHINGTON — Creekside Mushrooms reportedly is planning to lay off 260 workers because of falling demand and increasing competition from other farms.
The company sent a letter recently notifying workers of the layoff plan. No date for any layoffs was available.
The company said its underground mushroom farm is the only one of its kind in the country.
The company grows the Moonlight brand mushroom.
