His simple love and quiet ways

Made him a shining star

Many may have reached higher

But few have reached so far.

For this one of God's special people

The mountain's far below

He stands in his maker's presence

Refreshed, complete and whole.

We who knew and loved him

Will never be the same

We've been touched by a special person

Danny was his name.

In years to come we'll think of Dan

With memories warm and fine

Remembering the ways this brave, young man

Truly let his little light shine.
