Man wanted in connection with city shooting arrested in Ga.

An Allegheny man wanted by Butler City Police in connection with the shooting of another man at an apartment in the city in July has been arrested by police in Georgia, city police report.

Butler police said that U.S. marshals acted on a tip to arrest Alfred Hines-Cox of Wilkinsburg. He will be sent back to Butler to face charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and conspiracy in connection with the July 26 shooting of Herman T. Moore of Homewood while at the North Main Street apartment of Renee L. Simons, 42.

Moore was treated at a Pittsburgh hospital. Simons has been charged with hindering apprehension for allegedly helping Hines-Cox. She also was charged with use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
