To qualify for free health care, one is either on a disability or working at least 20 hours a week at a low paying job. At one point in my life, I was taking care of a family member, and had the usual low paying job. I got health insurance, but I had to pay for my own prescriptions when I got ill and also had a co-pay. Do people like you have the higher paying positions available and if so, are you willing to hire all Americans that are disabled and/or work for peanuts? Society is getting riduculous about constant complaining about taxes. We all pay them. Deal with it. Most jobs I worked, I had no health care insurance and my wages were always too low to buy health care and there were no clinics at that time. Leave people alone. This woman you were arguing with might be on a disability. Be thankful if you do not need that type of assistance. It is a hellish way to go. Free is a very expensive word in our society today.
