In regard to the upcoming election I wanted to offer thought to the possibility that not everyone may know that Mayors in the Commonwealth are authorized to officiate at weddings anywhere in the state when the couple has a valid license issued by a PA County.

Even though I live in Slippery Rock Twp., Mayor Harris of Slippery Rock Borough performed my marriage and made a wonderful day even more special with his thoughful remarks, well-planned ceremony, and warm but dignified demeanor. He was relaxed and friendly participant in an event I remember with joy and appreciation.

It is important to me to also mention that his leadership affects our entire area. His thoughful mindset has helped the borough grow while respecting the charm of this college town. His opinions are never self-serving and he is always mindful of the wishes of the people who elected him.

I sincerely hope that every registered voter in the borough cast their vote to retain him as Mayor.
