ERIE — Slippery Rock High School graduate Jenna Rinker, a freshman on the Clarion University women's golf team, won the Gannon Fall Invitational last weekend with a two-round score of 157.

She won by four strokes over Evann Parker of Mercyhurst.

McMURRAY — Rob McClellan of Butler Country Club fired a 71 on Monday to place fifth after the first day of the two-day Dick's Sporting Goods Tour Championship at Valley Brook Country Club.John Aber of Allegheny Country Clubs was the first-day leader after carding a 68.John Aubrey Sr. of Aubrey's Dubbs Dred is tied for 10th place with a 75, and Joe Boros of Treesdale Golf & Country Club is tied at 26th (80).

LOCK HAVEN — Slippery Rock University's Jeremy Deighton was named PSAC West Men's Soccer Player of the Week on Monday.Deighton, the reigning PSAC West Player of the Year, scored three second-half goals in a 3-0 victory over Lock Haven last week to improve the team to 10-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
