I am just wondering why the Butler eagle would publish only stories or quotes that make the teachers look bad? They have posted every teachers salary, not once, but twice(which, if you do the math, shows the average teacher salary to be much lower than they are reporting!) Under the law, they have every right to publish these numbers, but i know for a fact, they have been given the amount that the solicitors have charged the SBCSD mutiple times! but yet, they have never published that. This information, is also public knowledge and should be reported. I do not have the exact number, but it is in the range of $200,000, and this is solely for labor negotiations. This money could, and should be spent to improve our children's education, not line the pockets of a law firm! I am sure this money could go a long way into allowing the school board to accept the IMPARTIAL arbitrators report that the teachers have already accepted once, and said that they would accept again! But instead, the school board wants to go to non binding arbitration again, which will cost the taxpayers not only partial cost of arbitration, but also all of the time extra time and paperwork that Tom King and Tom Breth will surely adding to their bills..
