The show winners of the Associated Artists of Butler County's Nature & Wildlife Exhibit, as judged by Stuart Thompson, professor of art emeritus and former chairman of the art department at Seton Hill University, have been named.

The exhibit runs through Oct. 2. It can be viewed from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, noon to 9 p.m. Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St.

Best of Show was awarded to Haley McKinney, a student at Slippery Rock University and new member of the AABC. She won for her 12-piece sculpture titled "Suffocation 2," which incorporates found and recycled objects that were meticulously organized and contains many delicate details in each piece. She received a $250 cash award. She also won third place in the sculpture category for her "Medusa" stick sculpture.

Dona Boots of Ellwood City, took second place overall and a $150 cash award for her oil painting "November Cabbage."

Bill Perry of Harmony, well-known watercolorist and the featured artist at the Saxonburg Arts Festival last weekend, won third place overall and a $100 cash award for his "Yellowstone" painting. He also won an honorable mention for his watercolor "Lion."
