Cornetti

The Butler County Symphony Orchestra's featured performer for its upcoming Dec. 5 holiday concert is internationally renowned and decorated opera singer Marianne Cornetti.

Cornetti, a native of Cabot, received the Pittsburgh Opera's highest honor.

Enjoying a career at the top of her craft, Cornetti travels and performs regularly in the United States and throughout Europe. She got her start at Knoch High School before moving on to Duquesne University and then the Pittsburgh Opera School.

Cornetti's performance at the holiday concert will be her first with the symphony since 1993.

Tickets are available in advance for the Dec. 5 concert for $20 for adults and $5 for students at the symphony association's office, 259 S. Main St. Tickets at the door will cost $22 for adults.

The concert is at Butler Intermediate High School, 551 Fairground Hill Road, and starts at 7:30 p.m.
