The 12th Butler County Farm Tour will be held Oct. 3 and feature a look inside four diverse operations in the southeastern part of the county.
Sponsored by the Butler County Food and Agriculture Council, the farm tour provides insight into the business of agriculture.
The free and self-guided will go on between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Activities at some stops might involve a small fee. Refreshments will also be available for purchase along the way.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The VillageFest is planned for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.<B></B>The daylong festival kicks off with a 5K Race at 8:30 a.m. sponsored by the Slippery Rock Parks and Recreation office.At 10 a.m., Main Street will be lined with the vendors who will sell handmade items and food.At Gateway Park, adjacent to Main Street, children can enjoy the Kids' Zone featuring the new games, balloon sculpturing, face painting and laser tag.
FRAZER TWP, Allegheny County — Viewing the planets Neptune and Uranus as well as the first quarter moon will be part of the show during the September Star Party sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh.This event begins at about 7:10 p.m. Saturday, weather permitting, at Nicholas E.
