Today is your special day dear, but we will not celebrate as before . . .

Before — on your special day we, as a family, would sit around the table to enjoy your birthday dinner.

As impossible as it is to believe, our family chain has been broken.

You are not here with us to celebrate this special day, so today we will only take a flower to your grave and quietly whisper "Happy Birthday".

Today, Lord, please look around your garden for our special "Big Guy".

You see you cannot miss his huge smile, his hearty laugh, and his wonderful sense of humor.
